Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 2025
Overview
GlucoHab is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your health data is yours and yours alone. This policy explains how we handle your information.
Data Storage
All health data stays on your device. GlucoHab stores:
- Habit tracking data in a local SQLite database on your iOS device
- Health data (steps, sleep, glucose) in Apple Health (never on our servers)
- App preferences and settings locally on your device
We do not transmit your health data to any external servers. Period.
What We Collect
- Health data: Only stored locally on your device and in Apple Health. We read (never write) steps, sleep, workouts, and blood glucose data with your explicit permission.
- Subscription data: Managed by RevenueCat (our payment processor). They receive your App Store purchase information but NOT your health data.
- Crash reports: If you opt in, anonymous crash logs help us fix bugs. These contain no personally identifiable information.
Third-Party Services
GlucoHab uses the following third-party services:
- Google Analytics: Our website (glucohab.com) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymous usage data like page views and navigation patterns. No health data is collected. You can opt out using browser extensions or Google's opt-out tools. See Google's privacy policy.
- RevenueCat: Processes in-app purchases and manages subscriptions. See their privacy policy.
- Apple Health: We read (with permission) but never write to Apple Health. See Apple's privacy policy.
Your Rights
You have complete control over your data:
- Revoke permissions: Disable Apple Health access anytime in iOS Settings.
- Export data: All users can export habit and health data as CSV.
- Delete data: Uninstalling the app deletes all local data. Health data remains in Apple Health (managed by iOS).
Medical Disclaimer
GlucoHab does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The app shows patterns and correlations for educational purposes only. Always consult your diabetes care team before making treatment decisions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as GlucoHab evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email (if you've provided one for support).
